My 10 Things!

Hey Peeps!  Hope your week is going well.  Queen She know as me has something swirling around in the dome located on top of the shoulders, so I'm emptying it onto paper...well i'm blogging it.

Dislikes.  You know the little things (or in some instances big things) that you feel distaste for or you’re hostile towards?  Yeah those.  I'm feeling silly so I’m going to share my top 10 dislikes.  Now I try not to be that disapproving, loathing little (I’m short) person all the time, (although I could be because it's so amusing when I get..wait... get back on track).

To keep from being that person, I’m going to combat my first list with a second list of my top 10 likes.  Now I’m a little embarrassed at some, but if I can share these….out loud….(well on paper, but I’m sharing none the less) feel free to laugh, giggle at my shortcomings, or share some of your own in the comments section down below.  Okay here we go.

  • Nose pickers at the redlight
  • Oversleeping

What's Your Favorite Food?

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone’s enjoying the best part of themselves.

I get asked often what my favorite food or meal is especially since I am now a Pescatarian and meat was a tremendous part of my diet.  Well that’s easy to answer for me since fish has always been my favorite over other meat proteins.  So today I would like to share what my favorite meal is and where I got the best recipes for them from.

My favorite meal is garlic butter salmon with oven roasted asparagus and an oven baked potato.  That’s it.  This meal gets the humming noises; you know the umm, umm good noises and the rolling of the eyes from me.  No lie.

Now you all know I’m an avid reader of all things readable… so I’ve spent some time looking for recipes from food bloggers and recipe sites that really taste good, and not just look good like the photos they have posted of their neatly prepared dishes.  These recipes I’m about to share are all that; I wouldn’t share them if they weren’t.

Share what your favorite meal is down below in the comments sections and share the recipe, and go on and send us over a photo as well.  Okay here we go.

My salmon recipe comes from Taste of Home.  The recipe is here: Garlic Butter Salmon

My oven baked potato recipe comes from the mother and daughter team at Tastes of Lizzy T.  I love the crispy skinned oven baked potato and these are perfect! Oven Baked Potato

The asparagus recipe comes from my faithful friendly recipe website Allrecipes.com. This is my go to website for the majority of my recipes. Roasted Asparagus

Habits. Habits. And Habits.

Hey Peeps, Queen She known as me here, I hope everyone’s having a great day!  So do any of you have any of those pesky lil negative tendencies, routines, patterns, traditions that are hard to give up?  Habits! That’s what they are.  I was reading an article by the writer James Clear about and he stated “ on average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic – 66 days to be exact.”   You should really go and read this because I was one of those people who bought into the “It takes 21 days to form a new habit.”  Ah un.  No it doesn’t, it takes much longer.

So now that these habits are formed, how long will it take to un-break em? And  how the heck do we go about replacing them with something better?  Well James wrote another article sharing how you can teach yourself new habits to replace condemning ones.  I’ve read both articles, and I think I got some serious work to do, because I have at least ten bad habits that need to be replaced with something more fruitful.

I’m going to take the plunge here, be a little transparent and share my ten worst habits. Don’t judge me!  Here goes:

1. I’m somewhat of a perfectionist.
2. I do not like rising early in the morning.  This leads me to the next habit
3. Not getting enough sleep

4. Chewing the meat, spitting out the bones…..Sometimes I have to get to the bottom of every
little thing….get what you need and just leave it alone already! Which leads me to the next one

5. Too analytical...sometimes it takes me to long to make a decision.
6. My love of…POTATO CHIPS! I don't even have to talk about this one, I'm sure you already
know the dangers to my health.
7. Not keeping the “big picture” before me, loosing sight of goals to soon.
8. Not delegating, can't do everything myself.
9. Saying yes to easily, which leads to the next one
10. Over planner, oh my gosh!  I run myself ragged!

I know, I do it to myself! So I'm sure I don’t have to tell you why these habits are everything bad and counterproductive.  I’m ready to replace at least three of them now.  I have to start small, so do you if you have any you need to ditch.  Remember, we don’t get rid of bad habits, we replace them.  Come on, you can do it.  We’ll do it together.
