Sharing The Diva Journals

Hey Peeps! Queen She known as Me here, hoping you’re having a happy Monday.  I get emails all the time asking questions about the Diva Journals; but there is one question that I get a lot and that is “what motivates me to pick up the pen, hit the keyboard, or (as I say) empty the mind tank”.  What motivates me to share the Diva Journals?

So, for you inquiring minds who really want to know, today I thought I would drop a few lines to let you in on what motivates me to put meaning and rhythm to words, divulge, and let you read what’s in the Diva’s journal!

I started this blog several years ago while on sick leave, when I needed something to occupy my mind on the days when it seemed like time was crawling and I would suffer from cabin fever.  It was supposed to be my open online journal that I could share with the world. Over the next few years I would blog every other month, to sometimes every five or six months. In 2013 I blogged only three measly times! I was inconsistent, and yes, that sucked, because l didn’t realize I was snuffing out my own little light by not being as diligent as I had once been.

As most of you know I am an avid reader.  I would read religiously other people’s blogs every week and would get upset if they didn’t update it on a regular basis, when I wasn’t even taking mine seriously enough to update it or keep it updated on a regular basis.  The nerve of me; a slacker trying to call out other people for not entertaining my wandering untamed mind.

I had to start over with my baby (The Diva Journals) and go back to when I uploaded my first post; how elated, yet scared, and nervous I was. But how glad I was that I took the first step and did it.  I decided I would give her the attention she once had and deserved.  I got serious about becoming a blogger; I gathered great information and studied it.  I didn’t want to become just better at blogging, I wanted to become good at it, then someday be great at it.  I’m a little past mediocre, working to become exceptional. I want to keep going and keep learning.

It was never about readership for me, because I’m pretty sure as big as that information space known as the world wide web is, someone somewhere will come across these words.  No, it was more about sharing my words and thoughts with people, and comfortably emptying myself and creating a platform for others to do so as well.  So, you see my blog motivates me, plain and simple.  For eight years she’s given me the space to ramble on and on and feel relaxed in doing so, plus I come across some pretty cool things on my journey, and I sometimes want to share.

There are so many, many good blogs out there in www land. If you don’t believe me just go to your nearest browser and put in bloggers.  But let me warn you, entertainment and information overload will come in hard at ya!

The Moment.

The moment.  it's only a minute, extremely small portion or point of time, but it can hold so much. A lifetime worth of memories, a breath, and intent to produce motion or movement, all happen in a moments time. A few come to mind instantly for me:

The moment you hear a baby's voice for the first time
The moment you renew your strength
The moment you gain peace
The moment you get clarity
The moment you learn something new
The moment you cut bullS***t off...for good
The moment you become comfortable with yourself
The moment you begin to love yourself
The moment you fogive
The moment after you war
The moment you realize you're the warrior
The momet other people realize you're the warrior
The moment you reflect
The moment your mirror on the wall says you're the greatest of them all
The moment you succeed
The moment people around you succeed
The moment you fail
The moment you learn the lesson from your failure
The moment you accept responsibility for who you are
The moment people take you serious
The moment you take you serious
The moment you realize what you were created to do
The moment you just do it
The moment you try something on your bucket list
The moment you learn what you're passionate about

yeah. the moment when.
