The 2013 Urban Youth Mentor of the Year Award Goes to....

Rapper and hip-hop artist Vigalantee, also known as Roger Suggs 

 "I stand by my kids through thick and thin,” Suggs said about the young people he mentors.  ”Hip-hop has an obligation to lead our kids to light and not into the darkness.  That’s what I try to do with my music and mentorship, which go hand-in-hand.”
